"Mabuhay ka"; Mega Star Sharon Cuneta praises Angel Locsin’s efforts amid Covid-19 pandemic.





For the past few days, Angel Locsin has her hands full in helping our frontliners in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic.


For the span of two weeks, the actress with her fiance Neil Arce and some friends has put-up sleeping tents in Taguig for health workers and has launched a crowdfunding to help solve overcrowding in hospitals. As of press time, they have provided 2 12x24 isolation tents each to 11 hospitals and will continue to donate more tents to additional 38 beneficiary hospitals who have requested such.


Angel Locsin has been receiving praises for this initiative from celebrities and netizens. The Mega Star Sharon Cuneta who has been very vocal about her admiration to the actress took to her Instagram account to express her appreciation to Angel Locsin


"Mabuhay ka, Angel Locsin sa pagpapatayo mo ng tents para sa ating mga bayaning frontliners na kailangan pa nating lahat na pasalamatan ng 1 million times more than we’ve been thanking them! Taas-noo at lubos na respeto lang ang meron kami para inyong lahat - ating nurses, nursing assistants, beloved doctors and all medical workers plus lahat ng testers na sinusugal ang buhay ninyo araw-araw para sa mga PUI at mga may sakit na ng COVID-19!!! Taos-pusong pasasalamat sa inyo. Di namin kayo nakakalimutan at makakalimutan habangbuhay!” she wrote.




The Mega Star also acknowledged Angel Locsin’s humanitarian efforts and consistency in helping others in every calamity, man-made or natural “At salamat kay Ms. ANGEL LOCSIN na kahit ano pa ang tumatamang disasters sa bansa natin ay laging nakahandang tumulong! Love you, Sweetie. May God bless you more. Keep safe! @therealangellocsin" she added.


Angel Locsin reacts to the said post and on her comment she wrote “Thank you ate and thank you for reaching out to help”


Angel Locsin has done so much amid this pandemic. Apart from spearheading the fund drive, Angel Locsin and her fiance are out there, in the field to help setting up isolation tents to beneficiary hospitals.

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
