Dimples Romana gets emotional as she says that Angel Locsin will always be her Darna.




Dimples Romana just celebrated her 35th birthday and we are all celebrating with her but there’s one person who truly made herself busy surprising the actress and it’s none other than her bestfriend Angel Locsin.


After surprising the actress on the eve of her birthday, Angel Locsin surprised her a new with a heartfelt birthday greeting through Magandang Buhay. Angel Locsin’s message is full of love and sincerity that brought the birthday girl to tears.




On her video greeting, Angel Locsin mentioned that Dimples Romana is her superhero with which the latter reacted and said “Pwede ba ‘yun? Syempre ‘sya nga ang nag-iisang Darna sakin. Si Gel, ganyan lang sinasabi nya ako ang hero nya, hindi totoo ‘yun. Angel is my hero because during the time that I was going through the lowest, lowest of my life, Angel came at the right time and she gave me strength. Because she is that rock for me, every time I see her and every time may pagdadaanan sya lumalabas yung pagka protective ko kasi parang iniisip ko, ito’ng taong ‘to hindi ‘to sanay na maging mahina pero dahil at some point naging lakas ko sya, reding-ready ako ibigay sa kanya pabalik ‘yung lakas na ‘yun. Yung pagmamahal ko sa kanya grabe, higit pa sa kapatid.”


Dimples Romana in return also sends her message to Angel Locsin and wholeheartedly said, “I love you so so so so much and I don’t think masusukat ‘yung pagmamahal ko para sa’yo dahil forever na eh and ako, I just know na napaka blessed ko dahil meron akong kaibigan na kahit anong mangyari sa’kin, she will always be there for me. Alam mo ‘yung ‘pag lilipad ka, lilipad ka e kasi alam mong may sasalo, sya ‘yun sakin.”


Dimples Romana and Angel Locsin’s friendship is the kind of friendship that we wish to find for ourselves; a long lasting and genuine one, a friendship that’s real, a friendship full of respect and overflowing love.

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
