In early 2000s one coming of age show has taken the afternoon timeslot by storm. This hit show introduced the viewers to some up and coming stars who then were unknown to many and still making their way to the limelight. 20 years later, these teenage stars have grown older, wiser, and have accomplished a lot of things in their chosen fields.


Roxanne Barcelo joined the show when it premiered in 1999. She played the role of Toni and after the show, she delves into some other things like hosting, singing, and continued acting. At present, she recently got married to her non-showbiz boyfriend and is now a mother of a beautiful baby boy.


Alessandra de Rossi is also one of the actresses who were once part of the Click Barkada. The actress joined the show in 2000 playing the role of Ian. After her stint in the show, she dived more into acting and has since become one of the most well-praised dramatic actress. She also starred in one of GMA’s most popular TV shows Darna playing the main villain, Valentina.




Aside from Valentina, did you know that Darna herself also played a role in Click? Angel Locsin played the role of Charley in the said teen flick show back in 2002. It was one of her first major roles on TV and the rest as they say is history.


After her stint in Click, Angel has become one of the most well-known and celebrated actresses of her generation. She became a household name because of her roles that’s become very popular like Alwina in Mulawin, Darna, and Monica in The Legal Wife to name a few. At present, she once again took on another role, a role that will last her a lifetime — a wife.


Click is one of those shows that just brings back memories and it is just worth celebrating how far these actors have come along!

Mayor Isko to Angel Locsin, “Mabasa ka sana ng ulan para dumami ka pa.”

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Amongst many personalities who spoke up against the government order to close ABS-CBN's broadcast operations, Philanthropic actress Angel Locsin also disapproves of the decision as it will cost even more Filipinos their livelihood. “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik,” she said on her Instagram story. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans. On her Instagram post, the actress expressed her gratitude to more than 100 volunteers who helped them repack food packs and hygiene kits.
