Angel Locsin wins Most Inspiring Media Personality (With Social Cause Category) at the Golden Laurel 2022: The Batangas Province Media Awards!

The winner of the Golden Laurel 2022: The Batangas Province Media Awards Most Inspiring Social Media Personality is Angel Locsin.


With more than a decade of setting a good example in entertainment and philanthropy, Angel Locsin unarguable deserves this recognition and more!


The winners were determined through voting, according to Golden Laurel and the awarding ceremony will be held on August 4, 1:00 pm, at the Freedom Hall, SHL Building at the Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas main campus.




Kathryn Bernardo, Jodi Sta. Maria, Joshua Garcia and Vice Ganda were among the Kapamilya personalities that were honored by the 2022 Golden Laurel Batangas Province Media Awards.


Bernardo was hailed as the Most Inspiring Social Media Personality (Lifestyle/Entertainment), Sta. Maria won Best Drama Actress and her drama “The Broken Marriage Vow” won Best Drama series, Garcia won Best Drama actor for her performance in the series “Viral Scandal”and Vice Ganda as Best Variety host for “It’s Showtime” which also named Best Variety Show.


Digital Media Network of the Year goes to Kapamilya Channel and the Best TV/Digital News Platform is ABS-CBN News. Other ABS-CBN program awardees are “TV Patrol” as Best TV/Digital News Program, Metro as Best Print/Digital Lifestyle Magazine, “Magandang Buhay” as Best Celebrity Talk Show, “MMK” as Best Drama Anthology Program, ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya as Best Public Service Program.


Bernadette Sembrano was recognized as News Anchor of the Year for “TV Patrol” and as Best Public Service Program Host for “Lingkod Kapamilya sa TeleRadyo” along with Edric Calma.


Screen veteran Vilma Santos-Recto, the province’s former long-time public servant, was also honored with the SHL Lifetime Achievement Award.

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
