“It’s an honor to be part of your journey” Angel Locsin on Mega Magazine’s 30th year!




Mega Magazine has played a huge part in the entertainment industry especially back when social media is not yet a thing. They gave us exclusive interviews and looks behind the glitz and glamour of the showbiz life of our favorite stars and through the course of her career, we see Angel Locsin be featured on numerous releases and covers which is always such a treat to everyone and now that Mega Magazine is celebrating its 30th year, the actress did not forget to greet them, she shared a photo of one of her covers on her Instagram account and expressed how honored she us to be part of their journey.


Angel Locsin has had a lot of magazine covers and some of the most prominent are that of by Mega. The first ever cover with Mega she’s been on is a Dec 2004 / January 2005 issue called “Women to Watch 2005” alongside Georgina Wilson, Toni Gonzaga, and more. On her Mega Iconic video, the actress revealed the importance of this first ever magazine cover for her and her career.

“Nung first cover ko parang hindi sya totoo, parang hindi ako makapaniwala kasi para magkaroon ka ng cover ibig sabihin meron ka ng kakayahan para mabenta yung magazine diba so maraming nagtitiwala sayo so para mabigyan ka ng ganon kalaking responsibility, hindi ko ineexpect talaga.”


And years later, from being one of the roster of “Women to Watch” Angel became one of Mega’s iconic and we couldn’t agree more! She has made records that no one else can break but herself and has made herself known to everyone and Mega magazine has undoubtedly paved the wag to make it happen.

Mayor Isko to Angel Locsin, “Mabasa ka sana ng ulan para dumami ka pa.”

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Amongst many personalities who spoke up against the government order to close ABS-CBN's broadcast operations, Philanthropic actress Angel Locsin also disapproves of the decision as it will cost even more Filipinos their livelihood. “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik,” she said on her Instagram story. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

Angel Locsin lists down donated goods to Taal victims, thanks donors and volunteers!

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans. On her Instagram post, the actress expressed her gratitude to more than 100 volunteers who helped them repack food packs and hygiene kits.
