Having a platform that may influence other people’s beliefs and views about certain matters is a privilege that not everyone with that power takes seriously.


Some have used their influence to spread fake information and mislead people but thankfully, we have great influential people who continuously use their platform to promote goodness and instill inspiration.


This year, Tatler Asia released a list of the continent’s Most Influential and some of our favorite stars made it to the list! Anne Curtis, one of the most followed personalities in the country has made it to the list alongside Angel Locsin who also have millions of followers in various social media platforms.




Anne Curtis and Angel Locsin are two of the most prominent actresses of their generation. They have been in the industry for more than a decade and all those years, they have been nothing but an inspiration to everyone.


They’ve helped a lot of people through their advocacies and spearheaded joint fundraisers like that of Shop and Share which they started back in 2009 to help the victims of typhoon Ondoy and re-launched just last year to help the country in the midst of the pandemic.


Angel and Anne each have their own ways of helping others and using their influence but they certainly are a perfect fit to be part of Asia’s Most Influential. They have inspired, helped, and influenced other people to help others and fight for what they believe in!


Other stars who made it to Tatler Asia’s Most Influential are award-winning actor John Arcilla, broadcaster Karen Davila, and Miss Universe winners Catriona Gray and Pia Wurtzbach.

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Amongst many personalities who spoke up against the government order to close ABS-CBN's broadcast operations, Philanthropic actress Angel Locsin also disapproves of the decision as it will cost even more Filipinos their livelihood. “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik,” she said on her Instagram story. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

Angel Locsin lists down donated goods to Taal victims, thanks donors and volunteers!

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans. On her Instagram post, the actress expressed her gratitude to more than 100 volunteers who helped them repack food packs and hygiene kits.
