Star cinema targets foreign audience! Releases “The Third Party” and other movies dubbed in Spanish!




Do you remember Andi Medina? How her misfortunes in life led her to a roller coaster turn of events? How her wrong decisions stacked up one over the other and cause conflict with her relationship between Christian and Max? Yes, she’s the well loved character in the movie The Third Party played by none other than the action drama queen herself, Ms. Angel Locsin.


The Third Party can be considered as one of the most controversial and bravest star cinema movie that shows how #LoveWins and how love sees no gender. It is directed by Jason Paul Laxamana from a screenplay written by Charlene Sawit-Esguerra and Patrick John Valencia. Angel Locsin is Andi Medina and with her are Zanjoe Marudo and Sam Milby. It is a certified box office hit earning more than 100M worldwide.




The Third Party is not your ordinary movie about third parties, the story revolves between exes Andi, an events manager who aspires to be a fashion designer and Max (Sam), a cosmetic surgeon who both find ways to keep their relation intact after a breakup.


But later on, Max finds new love with a gay oncologist for children, Christian (Zanjoe).


If you haven’t watched it yet, you might be missing one of the most progressive and talked about movies about love and gender sensitivity luckily, you can still stream it on Netflix and just recently, to widen their reach and audience, star cinema released the said movie on their YouTube channel dubbed in Spanish!


We all know that the pandemic has affected the entertainment industry and every industry for that matter and star cinema continuously find ways to widen their audience. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
