2022 is not just another year for Filipinos, it is the year when we can once again vote and elect public officials whom we'll entrust our future.
Philippines is a democratic country and electing public officials is on the hands of the majority, choosing the right person to sit on power is a big responsibility and the power is in our hands which should start with registering to vote.
As of February of this year, 58M Filipinos was registered to vote which is relatively low compared to 111M total population and on Angel Locsin's independence day post, the actress urges Filipinos to register to vote and break free from the circumstance of chance and take full charge of changing the course of the fate of the country.
"On this day of independence, it is time we break free from the circumstance of chance and take full charge of changing the course of our fate. With #Halalan2022 on the horizon, we are no longer just standing by the sidelines, because we know much better: our choice matters." her caption reads.

Daniel Padilla, one of the most popular stars of his generation also uses his platform to encourage younger generation to register to vote and exercise their right to vote by constantly sharing on his Instagram stories reminders about the voter registration deadline.
Other stars who constantly reminding and encouraging everyone to register before the set deadline are Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Bianca Gonzales, Maris Racal, and a number of Star Magic artists among others.
