Aeta Ako, Pilipino Ako Foundation Inc. thanks Angel Locsin for the relief goods the actress donated for the Aetas in Capas!





The pandemic has brought upon a lot of challenges to everyone. Small businesses have closed, companies have laid-off employees, and most people were struggling to make ends meet. Those who have been struggling then became even more challenged to put food on their table. But it's at this time of crisis that we see people come together and help one another; one proof is the community pantries that rapidly sprouted all over the country influenced by the Maginhawa community pantry.


When the pandemic hit the country, a group of good Samaritans created a foundation for the benefit of Aetas in Capas, Tarlac named Aeta Ako, Pilipino Ako Foundation Inc. With the current situation that we're in they are oftentimes overlooked and thanks to these people with good soul, other people who wished to send their help now have the means to do so just like Angel Locsin who sent relief goods for the Aetas in Capas.




On their twitter account, Aeta Ako, Pilipino Ako Foundation Inc posted series of photos of packed relief goods distributed to a total of 257 families and 328 children residing in far-flung areas in Capas Tarlac. Relief goods were from a number of donors one of which is Angel Locsin and on their caption, they expressed their gratitude to the actress and everyone who helped them make it all possible.


“Ang ating mga ibinahaging mga relief goods sa kanila ay mula sa pinagsama-samang mga donasyon mula sa ating mga kababayan na may mabubuting loob. Ipinapaabot natin ang ating taus-pusong pasasalamat kay Bb. @143redangel”


This is not the first time that the actress extend her helping hand during the pandemic. Since the onset of the pandemic, she has been tirelessly helping the frontliners and healthcare workers, she even put up her own community pantry on her birthday. The projects she spearheaded like Camp Heal the World, #UniTENTweStandPH, and Shop and Share helped the community in battling this virus that we have been trying to combat for more than a year now.


Angel Locsin has always been someone who we can rely on at times of crisis. An angel in real-life who will do about anything to help other people!

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
