Angel Locsin and Neil Arce got married the same day Hidilyn Diaz won her gold medal!




On August 7, 2021, Angel and Neil surprised everyone with the biggest news ever! The couple revealed that they are now married and has shared details of their intimate civil wedding since.


"Si Neil lahat nag-ayos ng legal documents. "Gusto mo ako pakasalan? Ayusin mo 'yan,"" said Angel.


"Nung time kasi na gusto na namin magpakasal akala ko pwede ko tawagan si Mayor "Mayor pwede mo ba kami ikasal bukas?" Hindi pala ganun 'yun so marami pala kaming kailangang ayusin paperwork so sa sobrang tagal nag-intay namin 'nung paperwork, talagang reading ready na kami magpakasal." Neil Arce shared.


On a video they shared on their channel, the couple revealed the exact date that they got married which was before another enhanced community quarantine has been imposed.




"Actually kinasal kami bago pa mag ECQ ilang tao lang 'yung sa City hall allowed. Syempre hindi naman namin maimbita lahat ng tao. Nung time pa nun bumabagyo." says Angel.


It also turned out that it was the same day Hidilyn Diaz won the Philippines’ first ever Olympic gold medal which became their number one topic at the reception!


"Ten days ata straight hindi huminto 'yung ulan. Tapos nanalo ng gold si Heidi [Hidilyn Diaz]. 'Yun 'yung topic namin habang kumakain."


It is really amazing how Angel and Neil managed to keep their wedding in the down low that not one in the press picked it up. They have been married for almost 2 weeks already before they made the official announcement and now, they are generously sharing details of their intimate wedding and we can’t help but fall in love with the love they have for each other!


"Kung ano man yung nangyari sa wedding na 'to is may personal touch namin talaga. It's very intimate. it's very simple. it's very us," says Angel Locsin.

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
