National Customers’ Choice Annual Awards honors Angel Locsin as Legacy Icon Awardee for Championing Philanthropy!




We all aspire to leave a mark in this world; to have something someone will remember us by, hopefully through our impact and contribution to the society or how we make a difference. Doing all these wasn't easy but there are people who would prove that it is possible just like Angel Locsin who has a long list of legacy that will be passed to generations.


Angel Locsin rose to fame when she took on the role Alwina in Mulawin and became even more popular when she donned the iconic Darna costume and the rest is as they say, history. But she’s not only defined by her showbiz career, through the years, the actress won the hearts of people with her genuine kindness, compassion for others, and generosity.


She makes sure to be available and present whenever the country needs a helping hand. She never let other people down especially at times of distress. She is always one of the first ones to make a move and lend her time and resources to reach those who were badly affected by calamities, man-made or natural.




A woman of action and a hero of philanthropy, Angel Locsin has been helping others tirelessly without expecting anything in return but her efforts didn’t go unnoticed. She was recognized by various organizations for her humanitarian efforts and just recently, she once again bagged another recognition!


National Customers’ Choice Annual Awards honors Angel Locsin as Legacy Icon Awardee for Championing Philanthropy for her immense contribution to the community. On her acceptance speech, the actress expressed her gratitude to everyone behind NCCA Awards and gave an awe-inspiring message to everyone.


“To be honest ‘nung nagsimula ho ako hindi ko ho naisip at hindi ko ho intensyon na makilala bilang isang philanthropist dahil hanggang ngayon ay hindi po ako sanay na matawag na pilantropo. Bukod po sa wala po ako sa league [ng mga known philanthropist], para po sakin kasi dapat lang tayong magpakita ng malasakit sa kapwa natin dahil ito po kasi ang bilin ng Diyos sa atin,” says Angel.


“Kung sa paggamit po ng aking plataporma ay marami pong naiinspire na kumilos, akin po itong lubos na ikinatutuwa dahil isa po sa mga adbokasiya ko is to promote volunteerism at malasakit sa kapwa. I hope this recognition will inspire others to help and do their part,” she added.

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
