Happenings at Angel Locsin’s induction into the Philippine version of Walk of Fame!




We all aspire to leave a mark in this world; to have something someone will remember us by, it wasn't easy but there are people who would prove that it is possible and can be achieved just like Angel Locsin who, from being a regular school girl became one of the most well-known personalities in the country.


She rose to fame when she took on the role Alwina in Mulawin and became even more popular when she donned the iconic Darna costume and the rest is history. Her fame and contribution to the entertainment industry has been cemented on a form of a star at the Philippine version of Walk of Fame!


Angel Locsin's induction to the Walk of Fame happened way back December 1, 2011. At the event, the actress was accompanied by her Dad, Mr. Angel Colmenares. The host of the ceremony enthusiastically mentioned that aside from being an award winning actress, Angel Locsin is also an award winning swimmer and her mentor was no other than her Dad.




The host was also quick to acknowledge that Mr. Angel Colmenares has always been very supportive throughout Angel’s career. Angel Locsin can’t seem to hide her happiness as they walk towards her star and genuinely smiled to the people who were present to witness the ceremony. She also gamely posed for pictures together with the newly inducted star with her name on it and even took a photo of it herself.


Truly being recognized for the things you worked hard for is one of the most rewarding feeling all the more being rewarded with something that can withstand the test of time and will someday remind future generation of the things you have contributed in the entertainment industry.


With Angel Locsin, other stars that have been immortalized in the Walk of Fame were Ai-Ai delas Alas, Eugene Domingo, Anne Curtis, Iza Calzado, Carmina Villaroel, Heart Evangelista and Sam Milby to name a few.

Mayor Isko to Angel Locsin, “Mabasa ka sana ng ulan para dumami ka pa.”

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Amongst many personalities who spoke up against the government order to close ABS-CBN's broadcast operations, Philanthropic actress Angel Locsin also disapproves of the decision as it will cost even more Filipinos their livelihood. “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik,” she said on her Instagram story. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

Angel Locsin lists down donated goods to Taal victims, thanks donors and volunteers!

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans. On her Instagram post, the actress expressed her gratitude to more than 100 volunteers who helped them repack food packs and hygiene kits.
