Angel Locsin wins as the Most Inspiring Personality at NYLON Manila's first ever Big, Bold, Brave Awards!




NYLON Manila is a digital-first title that highlights the unique identity of the youth as a generation to be seen, heard, felt, and taken seriously on fronts in pop culture, fashion, beauty, and voice.

This year, NYLON Manila introduces the first ever Big, Bold, Brave Awards which honors the movers, shakers, trendsetter, and barrier-breakers of the past year. Winners of the said awards were determined through a poll. Amongst all the nominees for the certain category, people have the power to choose who's worthy of the award and topping the number of votes amongst her co-nominees, Angel Locsin won as the Most Inspiring Personality!


There is no book or a specific guide on how to inspire others or be inspirational but Angel Locsin sure does know how to show us how. Over the past years, the actress has been an inspiration to others through her works, humanitarian efforts, and activism.


Her genuine kindness and compassion to people has inspired others to do the same which may be the reason why a lot of people has voted for her to land this award.




Being labelled as an inspiration sure is an honor but with it comes a responsibility to set a good example to others and Angel Locsin always do just that!


She has always been the angel that we all need. When the going gets tough, we see her rise to the occasion and extend a helping hand. Everything that she's doing is not on her job description and is way beyond what's expected of anyone but her heart's desire of helping others doesn't stop and she always act on it.


We see her everywhere distributing relief goods, checking on our kababayan's situation at far-flung areas affected by calamities and lending a voice to the unheard through her platform.

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
