Gen.T leader of tomorrow: Angel Locsin shares how she would like to be remembered.

Angel Locsin is one of the personalities in the country who have the biggest platform. Her social media followers and the engagements in each post speaks a lot about her influence to other people and thankfully, she's someone who knows how to use her platform for the better. She knows when and how to reach out to people to convey her opinion about things that matter.

Apart from being outspoken and being unafraid to express her opinion, Angel Locsin is also a woman of action. She spearheaded a number of relief operations, fund raising campaign and supporting some advocacies.

Over the past decade, we see Angel Locsin rise above the occasion every time the country face disaster, man-made or natural and because of her innate compassion to people, she was recognized as one of Forbes Asia's Heroes of Philanthropy in 2019 and just recently, another Asian-wide recognition was awarded to the actress!

Angel Locsin was recognized as one of Gen.T list 2020, a list of young leaders shaping Asia's future which includes trailblazing entrepreneurs and creatives who are driving positive impact and catalyzing change in Asia. Angel was recognized for her tireless philanthropic work in education, domestic violence and health.

She has provided scholarships for the less fortunate, supporting the economic and political rights of indigenous people, and working to end violence against women and children. One of her most recent notable works is her fund raising campaign #UniTENTweStandPH that she launched months ago that helped provide isolation tents to hospitals in the metro and neighboring provinces who are operating at full or over capacity.

Angel Locsin may have been known for her acting prowess and was recognized by various award giving bodies locally and internationally but more importantly, the actress shared that she most certainly would want to be remembered as someone who cares.

“I want to be remembered for how I’ve been able to make other people feel that I’m here and I care. This for me would be the bigger achievement [than my achievements in acting].”

With everything that she’s done, she’s not someone who can easily be forgotten, her works and her philanthropic efforts will surely be remembered and will serve as an inspiration generation after generation.
