Angel Locsin, a real-life Angel we needed amid the pandemic!




It is getting harder to keep track what's normal nowadays. The widespread of COVID-19 has taken the country by storm and has rendered most of our kababayans struggling. It has been a question of whether or not everything will still go back to normal one day after the other and some days, it has been really frustrating.

Healthcare workers, frontliners, small business owners, and minimum wage earners are just few of those who are badly affected by the pandemic and it is a no secret that people need help. Thankfully, in times like these, there are people who lend a helping hand in any way possible.

Angel Locsin is a godsend real-life Angel amid the pandemic. Since the breakout of the virus, the actress has been restless in helping others. She started her mission of helping the frontliners by setting up a make-shift home away from home where healthcare workers of Taguig can take a break and sleep.


#UniTENTweStandPH is another one of the initiatives Angel Locsin spearheaded. The fundraising campaign has been widely acknowledged that in 24 hours, they are able to raise Php1M and has accumulated a total of Php11M in just 19 days. Donations were used to buy isolation tents to help solve overcrowding in some hospitals. In just 1 month, more than 200 tents were delivered and set-up to 135 hospitals in the metro and neighboring provinces.




The pandemic lasted longer than what we expected or prepared for. From the hopes that it will only last for a few weeks became months and acknowledging that there is still a need for help, Angel Locsin, Anne Curtis, and Dimples Romana decided to re-launch their 2009 project Shop and Share. With the prized items donated by their friends in the industry that was put on sale and auctioned, the team raised Php6M which was divided equally to 5 different municipalities and Philippine Red Cross.


The past few months was never easy, one solid proof is the increasing number of community pantries sprouting all over the country. Angel Locsin having the most genuine intention set-up her own to celebrate her birthday just recently.


Listed above are some of the initiatives Angel Locsin spearheaded amid the pandemic. Not that there's a need to keep track but knowing that there's someone out there who are always ready to help others sparks hope and inspiration in these trying times.

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

Angel Locsin lists down donated goods to Taal victims, thanks donors and volunteers!

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans. On her Instagram post, the actress expressed her gratitude to more than 100 volunteers who helped them repack food packs and hygiene kits.
