Angel Locsin receives PUSH Inspiration citation for her contribution and courage amid the pandemic!




Since the onset of the pandemic, Angel Locsin has been really busy helping the frontliners and healthcare workers. After spearheading a project that aims to shelter frontliners of Taguig and giving them a comfortable make-shift home away from home through camp heal the world, Angel Locsin immediately started a fundraising campaign to help solve overcrowding in hospitals.


The actress together with her fiance Neil Arce and some friends were able to raise over 10M pesos in 19 days that was used to procure over 200 isolation tents that’s been donated to over 100 hospitals in the metro and neighboring provinces.




As if what she’s done is not enough, Angel Locsin together with her friends Anne Curtis and Dimples Romana re-launched a project that they worked on years ago — Shop and Share. With the help of their colleagues in the biz by donating and selling their personal items the team was able to raise millions! Aside from all these, the actress also helped healthcare workers by donating PPEs, face mask, and alcohol among others.


In recognition of everything that she’s done amid the pandemic, PUSH Awards handed Angel Locsin the PUSH Inspiration citation for her contribution and courage amid adversity last year alongside two other Kapamilya actresses Kim Chiu and Iza Calzado.


It’s been a year since we started this battle and we are still clueless to when will things get better. It is now more than ever that we need to look out for each other’s welfare, help one another and stay at home as much as possible. In this time of pandemic, we need more people like Angel Locsin who’s always ready to lend a helpig hand and who serves as an inspiration to many.

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
