“People should look after their well-being”, Angel Locsin talks about self-care




We are currently in the midst of a worldwide trial that has changed our lives and made us realize how important it is to prioritize health and proper hygiene and find ways to navigate through the new normal.


The current global pandemic exempts no one that even celebrities like Angel Locsin are now being more mindful of how their lifestyle and work can affect their overall well-being.


In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), the actress philanthropist said that it’s one of her priorities as as she is very active in social welfare and community project.


“Actually, nandiyan yung concern and yung fear na magkasakit every time lumalabas ako ng bahay,” Angel admitted.




“Maraming nagsasabi na mabuti raw na hindi ako natatakot sa COVID. Actually, nandiyan yung takot… so sinisigurado ko na lang na safe yung mga pinupuntahan namin. Mayroon din kaming face shields, masks, at complete [protective] gear.”


Caring for one’s well-being is essential if you want to continue helping people according to Angel.


“People should look after their well-being because having good health is key to being able to work properly, to overcome yung mga challenges, and para makatulong sa iba,” Angel said.


“Paano natin maalagaan yung mga mahal natin sa buhay kung hindi okay ang ating sarili?”

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
