Angel Locsin provides cash assistance to Typhoon Rolly victims!




There’s really no stopping Angel Locsin from doing her Darna duties as she leads Typhoon Rolly assistance initiative!


Taking to social media, the actress philanthropist, who just recently made headlines for being falsely accused of being a leftist, announced she is donating P1,000 each to 1,000 victims of Typhoon Rolly, amounting to a total P1,000,000 cash aid!


Among the guidelines is a two-minute video describing the current state in their area to be sent via private message to the Facebook page of Typhoon Rolly Assistance Initiative. The recipient must also have a GCash account, as the aid will be transferred through the mobile app.


“Sa aming maliit na paraan, nais po naming makapag-abot tulong sa mga kababayan nating nasalanta ng bagyong Rolly thru Gcash. Though we would like to reach out to everyone who are in need, our resources are limited and can only accommodate the first 1,000 valid request,” part of her post reads.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), around 2 million people have been affected by Typhoon Rolly, considered as this year's strongest tropical cyclone, with the eye of the storm slammed ashore Bicol region which also lashed places in other parts of Luzon, including Batangas, Quezon province and Occidental Mindoro.

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
