#WomenofInfluence: Angel Locsin opens up about #UniTENTweStandPH; gives advice to those who want to start their own COVID-19 initiative.

Around the same time last year, Angel Locsin was recognized by Cosmo Philippines as one of the Women of Influence awardees for her contribution to the society through her humanitarian efforts. For this year, Cosmo PH decided to give the recognition to forward Filipinas who stepped-up and helped others amid the pandemic, Angel Locsin who has been helping healthworkers, frontliners, and those in need since the onset of the pandemic once again land on the list of Cosmo PH’s Women of Influence awardees for 2020!

On her recent interview with Cosmo PH, Angel Locsin opened up on how she made arrangements to help those affected by Covid-19. She talked about how the concept of #UniTENTweStandPH started

I’m sure kung ikaw rin yung health worker, nakakalungkot din yun sayo dahil yun yung oath mo e, to save lives, to take care of people diba. So naisip ko yung tent bilang taong taping ako, alam ko na isa ‘yun sa mga pinaka-easiest stand-by area na mas mura, madaling iset-up.”

The actress also talked about one of the greatest challenges in terms of providing help or assistance where it’s needed the most and said “Paano mo mapoprotektahan ang sarili mo at mga kasamahan mo sa pandemya because nandun kayo mismo sa ground zero e, dun kayo mismo sa mga lugar, mga ospital na may mga Covid talaga at the same time, hindi mo iparamdam sa mga health workers na may takot ka.”

When asked what gives her hope in these trying times, Angel Locsin shared how simple acts of kindness that she read online restore her faith in humanity every time

It is now more than ever that we see how humanity come together to help one another. There are a lot of ways to help, let’s do our part and help others the best way we can and if you still don’t know where or how to start, Angel Locsin has the best advice if you want to start your own COVID-19 initiative.

“Pag gugustuhin mo, maraming way. Wala kang pera?
