Ilang sorpresa na magagamit ni Ka Sendo sa kanyang pagto-tour guide sa Punduhan, handog ng Iba Yan!

For Iba Yan’s 15th episode, Angel Locsin and team Iba Yan went all the way to Norzagaray Bulacan to visit one of the many indigenous groups in the country, the Dumagats.

They met Bro. Martin Francisco, a missionary who has been helping the Dumagats for a little over 24 years now. Bro. Martin gave Angel a tour of ‘Punduhan’, a place which serves as a stop-over whenever the natives need anything, whether it be food, shelter, or education among others.

Bro. Martin introduced Angel Locsin to Ka-Sendo, a voluteer forest ranger, Dumagat search and rescue officer, and tour guide. Ka-Sendo explained the importance of preserving the environment and shared how they keep the mountains clean and green by planting trees and preserving its beauty.

Ka-Sendo also guided tourists around the mountains of Sierra Madre. He makes sure that tourists will enjoy their tour and keeps them safe. To aide him while guiding the tourists, Angel Locsin and team Iba Yan gave him gifts that he can use: Heavy duty flashlights, hard hat with lights, gloves, backpack, raincoat, boots, socks, and ligtas bag that contains first-aid kits, handheld radio and the likes.

Aside from all these, team Iba Yan also donated signages to use as a marking tool in the tourists spots around Sierra Madre. Angel Locsin also volunteered to help finalizing the papers for eco-tourism which made Bro. Martin really happy.

Ka-Sendo can’t hide his happiness after receiving these gifts and express his gratitude to Angel and the team “Malaki ang pasasalamat po namin ni Brother at lahat ng katutubong Dumagat na kapatid ko po. Parang gumaan ‘yung aking kalooban dahil po sa tulong po ninyo.”
