Angel Locsin shares her thoughts about being seen as a real-life hero and dealing with online bashers!




15 years as an AVON ambassador, Angel Locsin has had her own line of perfume, designed her own bags for a collaboration with Avon Fashions, and a face of Avon True. For Avon X Cosmo’s Watch Me Now Series, the actress shares lessons she learned about love, opens up about using her endorsements as a platform to other people, her hopes for the Philippines as we continue to face the pandemic, shares her thoughts about her being seen as a real-life hero, and dealing with online bashers.


Over the past decade, as Angel Locsin continue to make a name of her own through her impeccable portrayal of characters on TV and on the big screen, people also love her for always rising to the occasion at times of distress. More than being Darna onscreen 15 years ago, she is now being seen as a real-life hero. Her contribution to the society and her initiative of helping others made her one of 2019’s Forbes Asia’s Heroes of Philantropy. Despite the fact that she can really be considered as a real-life hero for everything that she’s done, the actress revealed that she doesn’t see herself as a hero.




"Sa akin naman, I don't see myself as a hero, hindi ako comfortable 'pag sinasabing hero ako kasi madami rin talaga ang tumutulong during this time. Siguro mas nabibigyan ng pansin yung work that I do dahil artista ako. Pero maraming mga individuals, organizations, and people who are doing their part and nakakatuwa 'yon."


Though Angel Locsin has the purest intention in helping others she wasn’t spared with criticisms. Some people always have something bad to say especially when she speak her mind about some controversial issues and when asked how she deal with them, she said “Minsan, 'di ko narin pinapansin ito kasi hindi healthy ang ganung environment. Mahalaga na you know your worth and you believe in yourself. Know that in life meron talagang times and merong mga people who will try to pull you down, but trust na you are greater than these bullies or these bashers and may maio-offer kang special to the world”


Angel Locsin is like no other, each day we can see more and more reasons to be amazed and inspired by this amazing woman.

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
