Angel Locsin and team Iba Yan replicate Atty Aceron’s Bread of Salt initiative to help residents of Astor St. in North Fairview!

In this time of pandemic, we see before our eyes how the economy got affected by the surge of Covid-19 positive cases in the country. Hospitals are operating at full or overcapacity and people lose their job over the past few months. The unemployment rate in the country is on its highest compared to the past years and people are struggling in making ends meet and putting food on their table.

Given the fact that almost half of the working class are now unemployed, people need help more than ever. Thankfully, there are people who step-up and initiate in helping others just like Atty. Marvin Aceron and his wife who launched Bread of Salt initiative.

Bread of Salt aims to help people in need to put food on their table by giving a family or two 10 pcs. of pandesal. This is indeed a smart idea in this time of pandemic and seeing the situation of some families in Astor St., Angel Locsin and team Iba Yan decided to replicate the idea.

Astor St. in North Fairview with a total of 160 family residents is promised to receive 10 pcs of pandesal per family for the entire month, a total of 51,000 pandesal. Pandesal Heroes Jane and Renz committed to bake 800 pandesal each daily to fullfill this initiative.

Bread of Salt is one of the easiest way to help others. With just 20 pesos, you can help a family get by a day with food on their table for breakfast.
