The General’s Daughter tops the list of 10 most watched teleserye from January 2019 - May 2020! (AGB Nutam data)




Angel Locsin doesn’t disappoint when it comes to a project she partakes whether it be a movie, an MMK episode or a teleserye. Each of the characters she portrayed became an icon and left a lasting impression for years and The General’s Daughter is surely no exemption. Playing the role of Rhian Bonifacio who is a trained assassin and what we can consider as a spy working as part of the nurse corps easily made her way to the viewer’s heart.


The General’s Daughter’s pilot episode earned mammoth ratings compared to its rival show both in Kantar and AGB Nutam. In fact, just recently, it was revealed that among the teleseryes that premiered from January 2019 to May 2020, it has the highest rated pilot episode! Despite the fact that it has been months after the show ended and few shows have been introduced since, they remain to be unbeatable at no. 1!




Some other Kapamilya shows that made it to the top 10 programs from January 2019 to May 2020 are Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil’s ‘Make It With You’ at second spot, Judy Ann Santos’ ‘Starla’ sitting at the third spot, The Killer Bride starring Maja Salvador, Janella Salvador and Joshua Garcia at 5th, and A Soldier’s Heart.


Apart from the skyrocketing ratings, The General’s Daughter has earned numerous accolades as Best TV series so does Angel Locsin who won numerous Best TV actress awards for her impeccable portrayal as Rhian Bonifacio!

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
