Liza Soberano shares how other artists like Angel Locsin inspire her to speak-up for what she believes in.

The denial of ABS-CBN’s franchise is something we didn’t see coming this 2020. Though they were able to come clean in front of the congress backed by the facts as presented by concerned government agencies, they were still denied of a franchise for a frequency. This unfortunate event has led to unemployment, cancellation of our favorite shows and discontinuation of the some services they offer.

Incidentally, the denial of franchise also revealed stars who are willing to take the risk to stand by the network. Putting their opinions out-there and speaking up for what they believe is right will always attract naysayers, Angel Locsin for example who has been really vocal of her support to the network from taking a stand online to joining noise barrages has been receiving backlash from the people who’s in favor of the franchise denial.

But despite the harsh comments she’s receiving, her courage has inspired other stars to speak up just like Liza Soberano who admitted that she was scared of what people would say if she speak up but drew inspiration and confidence to the likes of Bea Alonzo and Angel Locsin.

On a post shared by Kapamilya Online World, Liza Soberano was quoted saying “I’m the type of person who really fights for what I believe in and I decided to make a choice to stand up for what I believe in as well.”

“Before, I wasn’t that vocal just because I was scared of what people are going to say. I guess I gathered the confidence from other people I love and other women I admire like Ate Angel Locsin, Ate Bea Alonzo. When I saw them fight, it encouraged me to fight.”
