Iba Yan brings “Kinang”, an online benefit concert in celebration of Philippine drag!





What is drag? Masterclass.com defines drag as a gender-bending art form in which a person dresses in clothing and makeup meant to exaggerate a specific gender identity, usually of the opposite sex.


If you haven’t watched a drag show your entire life yet, a typical drag show includes lip-syncing or dance and performers have over the top make-up, hair and clothing. Drag show in the Philippines continue to thrive as we continue to be more inclusive and supportive of our LGBTQ+ friends.




However, the pandemic has made them impossible to perform with large crowd as mass gatherings are still not allowed. Some of drag queens were displaced and left with no income because of the pandemic and this Sunday, Iba Yan will be bringing these queens together for a benefit concert!


“Kinang” is an online benefit concert in celebration of Philippine drag featuring some of the country’s finest drag queens including Zsazing, Aries Night, Racing Chat, Jcourse, Cherry Pie, Marina Summers, Precious Paula, Prince, Eva Le Queen, Mrs Tan, Omiko and more!

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
