Angel Locsin, named as one of Cosmo PH’s Women of Influence for two consecutive years!




Last year, Cosmopolitan Philippines introduced the first ever Women of Influence Awards that honors eight exemplary Filipina personalities who uses their platform to make a difference in various causes. Eight fun, fearless and forward Filipina who have made a significant mark not just in the industry that they are in but also in Philippine society. For its second year, Cosmo PH honors six women who used their influence for humanitarian aid in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and to inspire a new generation of Filipinos to stand up and use their voice.

Angel Locsin, who is one of the eight awardees of cosmo’s women of influence last year for her commendable humanitarian efforts over the years once again made it to the list of awardees for the second time around for using her influence for initiatives to help people amid the pandemic.


Angel Locsin has been really busy helping the frontliners and healthcare workers since the onset of the pandemic. After spearheading a project that aims to shelter frontliners of Taguig and giving them comfortable make-shift home away from home through camp heal the world, Angel Locsin immediately started the fundraising campaign to help solve overcrowding in hospitals.


The actress together with her fiance Neil Arce and some friends, they were able to raise over 11M pesos in 19 days that was used to procure more than 200 isolation tents that’s been donated to 135 hospitals in the metro and neighboring provinces. The actress together with Dimples Romana, Anne Curtis and some friends also relaunched Shop and Share to help increase testing capacity in the country which currently has raised more than 6M pesos.


Other Women of Influence awardees include Bela Padilla, Frankie Pangilinan, Ria Atayde, Maine Mendoza and Ms. Universe Catriona Gray.

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans. On her Instagram post, the actress expressed her gratitude to more than 100 volunteers who helped them repack food packs and hygiene kits.
