Angel Locsin and team Iba Yan arrange a surprise graduation ceremony for the women of Wipe Every Tear.




Wipe Every Tear is an organization committed to bringing rescue and restoration in the lives of women who are sexually exploited and are involve in prostitution. From providing safe places to call home, to education and holistic healing, women have the opportunity to have their lives fully restored.


On Iba Yan’s 11th episode, Angel Locsin dug deeper to the stories of Wipe Every Tear’s beneficiaries. She was also able to talk to  Rebecca Angeles or ‘Mama Becs’ as what they call her, one of the organization’s ‘House Mother.’ Mama Becs mentioned the importance of a graduation ceremony for their scholars as it is the event they look forward to that signifies a new chapter and a new beginning for them.


Because of the pandemic, they can’t hold the much anticipated graduation ceremony never did they know, Angel Locsin and team Iba Yan prepared a surprise graduation ceremony exclusively for the women of Wipe Every Tear’s beneficiaries. Presided by Angel Locsin, these women who earned their bachelor’s degree experienced going on stage and accepting their diplomas.




Some inspiring women from the biz like Jodi Sta. Maria, Bianca Gonzalez and Ms. Bernadette Sembrano send their encouraging messages to the graduates.


Apart from the inspiring messages from the inspiring women in the biz, graduates were also surprised by a greeting from their family while they receive their diplomas on stage!


As the ceremony ends, Angel Locsin gave her heartwarming and inspiring message to the graduates and said “Sa mga graduates ng Wipe Every Tear, habang hawak ninyo ang inyong diploma, wag nyo sanang kalimutan na hindi lamang assignments, projects, at exams ang inyong pinagtagumpayan kundi pari na rin ang maraminv pagsubok sa buhay na intong nalampasan. Dasal ko ang inyong tagumpay at katuparan ng inyong mga pangarap.”

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
