We have known Angel Locsin through her works. Her top of the line TV show and movie characters undoubtedly made a mark on viewers. But what makes her stand-out from  the sea of stars is her genuine compassion to people. We have seen her fly to far flung areas in the country for her relief operations, we have seen her give-up some of her priced possessions for charity like her vintage chevrolet chevelle and just recently, her signature bags and her Dodge Durango and more.

But with what’s happening lately, Angel Locsin being vocal about her support to ABS-CBN and as someone who’s continuously fighting for it, she also received a lot of criticisms. Others even tagged her relief efforts as publicity stunt alleging her of having an ulterior motive of running in public office.


On her twitter account, Alessandra de Rossi said that Angel Locsin doesn’t need to run for public office

“Sabi nila, tatakbo ka daw na senador. Nyar, di kailangan. Kaya mong lumipad. Nag-iisa kang ganyan. Minsan nadadala ng emosyon. Hello? Obvious ba? Napakalaking puso ang nasayo. Natural yun. Tao ka. Sira ulo ka. Mahal kita. Teka? May tribute?  @143redangel nakita ko lang #ccto”




Angel Locsin respond to Alex’s “tribute” and said

“Hahaha salamat alex mahal kita!”

“Hay salamat! Tumanggap ka din ng papuri sa wakas! Alam ko ayaw mo, pero sorry! May tribute! I cannot help it! TOTOO EH! Minsan lang!  Hayaan mo akong ipagmalaki ka. Ako na to guys!” Alex then replied.


When a Netizen said “Sadyang matulungin si Angel, lahat sa kanya may paki alam sya.” Alex revealed how selfless the actress really is and wrote “May paki sya sa lahat. Pwera sa sarili nya. I think... Breakfast at dinner nya ang rapid testing.”


On some of her interviews, Angel Locsin already made it clear that she has no plans of entering politics and her consistency in helping others speaks a lot about how genuine and pure her intentions are.

Mayor Isko to Angel Locsin, “Mabasa ka sana ng ulan para dumami ka pa.”

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
