Maymay Entrata recounts the moment when she first met Angel Locsin in the outside word after PBB Lucky 7!




Maymay Entrata is PBB Lucky 7 big winner. She's been blooming into an actress, a host and an over-all performer since. Two weeks ago, she released her new single ‘I Love You 2’ and just recently, she went live through Kapamilya Chat and talked about her new single.

On the Q and A portion of the live stream, Maymay was asked “Nung lumabas ka na (PBB house) kanino ka pinaka na-starstruck?” The actress mentioned two Kapamilya stars: Gary Valenciano and Angel Locsin.


We all know how Maymay reacted when she first met Angel Locsin when the actress visited PBB house and even though she already met her, Maymay admitted that she still got starstrucked when she met the actress on It’s Showtime once.

“Paglabas namin (PBB house) nagkita ulit kami sa showtime tapos syempre nag-Hi ako sa lahat papicture ako, sila Ms. Vice, Ms. Anne Curtis, pero sya kasi ‘yung talagang lumapit tapos may message pa sya. Nabigla ako kasi syempre Ms. Angel Locsin ‘yun e, tapos kinausap ako.”




Maymay also shared some advice Angel Locsin gave her on that same day.

“Tanda ko pa ‘yung sinabi nya sa akin, “wag ka magbago, alam ko bago sa’yo ‘to, na-ooverwhelm ka pero ‘wag mong kalimutan kung saan ‘yung pinanggalingan mo, wag mong kalimutan ‘yung mga naging kaibigan mo dati nung walang wala ka pa, nung hindi ka pa successful, at saka ‘yung mga fans mo, ‘yung mga sumusuporta sa’yo, lagi mo silang i-appreciate”


“Tanggap ka lang nang tanggap ng blessing ngayon, alam ko nabigla ka mahirap mag-adjust, baguhan ka pa pero hindi lahat nabibigyan ng pagkakataon, grab the chance.”

As someone who’s just starting in the industry that time, Maymay says she got inspired by what the actress said and thanked her.


“Thank you Ms. Angel. Kasi nung time na ‘yun, syempre ‘pag na-ooverwhelm ka hindi mo alam kung anong gagawin mo, hindi ko alam kung paano mag-acting, hindi ko alam kung paano mag-hosting, dancing, pero nung sinabi nya na-inspire ako.”

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
