Iba Yan team led by Angel Locsin gives a life-changing surprise to Tatay Jimmy and Nanay Emilia!




Together with the directives of closing down some establishments as part of the enhanced community quarantine protocol is the temporary halt on mass transportation. Jeepney operators, Tricycle drivers, Bus Operators and any other public utility vehicle are not allowed on the road for the time being. And last friday, 6002 jeepneys that are categorized as “road worthy” finally received a go signal from LTFRB to operate given that they will comply to the new health protocols.

On their fourth episode, Iba Yan shared the story of Tatay Jimmy, a 59 year-old jeepney driver whom amid the new directive from LTFRB still worries that he might not be allowed on the road as he’s nearing his 60th birthday and will be considered as high-risk individual amid the pandemic thus will not be allowed to go outside as part of the new quarantine protocol.


“‘Yung mag-eedad ng 60, hindi na raw pwede magmaneho, sabi ko dun sa asawa ko, kung meron tayong ano, kung sakaling magkaroon, magtinda-tinda na lang kami” he shared to Angel Locsin.


Nanay Emilia, Tatay Jimmy’s wife shared a story back when they’ve got demolished which happened two years ago. They started to sleep on their jeepney and converted it into their temporary home since.




“Kasi ‘yung jeep po, yun din ang bahay namin, ‘yung mga gamit namin, ‘yung bihisan namin, isisiksik namin sa ilalim, mga plato ilalagay sa karton, yung saingan namin ilalagay sa balde, ganon araw-araw” says Tatay Jimmy.


The couple shared that over the past years, while they are working hard for their child’s education, they are also paying for a small house in installment plan.


“May pangarap ako sa amin, sa bahay ko kasi natapos na nga ‘yung anak ko may pangarap ako na mapaayos ko ‘yung bahay mapinturahan, makabili ng upuan o higaan, naglaho lahat ‘yun kasi naglockdown” Tatay Jimmy emotionally said.


Never did the couple know, Iba Yan team led by Angel Locsin has a life changing surprise for them! Iba Yan renovated their house and furnished it! Not only that, they also gave the couple their very own sari-sari store and “pangkabuhayan showcase.”


The couple can’t stop themselves from crying out loud because of too much joy and happiness!

“Masayang masaya ako dahil ‘yung pangarap ko sa bahay na ito nakamit ko na. Hindi ako magsasawa na magpapasalamat sa inyong lahat.” says Nanay Emilia.

Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims.
