Angel Locsin’s iconic kapamilya characters through the years!
Angel Locsin’s network transfer way back 2007 might have been one of the most controversial one. At 22 years old, the actress decided to take a leap on her career and decided to accept more challenging roles.
Right after her network transfer, the actress immediately showcased her acting prowess as Melody in Maala-ala Mo Kaya “Pilat” episode, her first ever TV project as a Kapamilya. Because of her brilliant portrayal, she won Best Single Performance by an Actress, her first ever best actress award.
A year later, the actress top-billed the first installment of the moonstone trilogy, Lobo. She played the role of Lyka Raymundo, “Ang Huling Bantay” alongside Piolo Pascual. Her brilliance in acting and exemplary portrayal in she wolf earned her an international emmy’s nomination as Best Actress! The first Filipina actress to be nominated in iEmmys after more than 20 years!
The success of her first teleserye as a Kapamilya Lobo led to its sequel Imortal. She once again played the lead role this time as Lia Ortega, “Ang Itinakdang Lobo”.
Angel Locsin is known for her versatility. Apart from doing fantaserye, action and drama, she also knows how to do comedy. In 2011, the actress played the role of Isabel Padausdos in the sitcom Todamax. People loved her character and her stint which is supposedly a guest appearance became a permanent role!
No one could ever forget one of the most phenomenal teleseryes ever, The Legal Wife. Angel Locsin played the lead role as Monica Santiago De Villa. The actress earned multiple recognitions for her exemplary performance as the legal wife. The show also records the highest rated finale for its timeslot! Phenomenal indeed!
