Angel Locsin shares some tips on how to pack relief goods efficiently!
According to reports, 15% of the the world's population is considered as Person With Disabilities (PWD) while 16 out of 1000 people in the Philippines are differently-abled.
For this week's episode of Iba Yan, the show shed light on the lives of our visually-impaired Kapamilyas during Covid-19 pandemic. They shared the story of "Blessed to be Bless", an initiative by RJ and Jessel to help visually impaired massage therapists. To date, "Blessed to Bless" has helped 104 individuals by giving financial assistance amid the pandemic.
Iba Yan team donated 100 relief packs to RJ and Jessel to be given to the beneficiaries of "Blessed to Bless". Angel Locsin shared some tips on how to pack relief goods efficiently to the couple and made sure to explain the process to make it more systematic.
"Mas maganda kung systematic, 'yung meron tayong packing stations. Meron tayo para sa rice, meron sa canned goods, mga noodles, toiletries at saka kung ano man. Mas maganda 'yung hiwalay para mas maraming makakagawa tapos mas mabilis matapos."
"Marami akong nakikitang mag-impake ng bigas na puro hangin. Pag puro hangin kasi mas madaling mapunit, make sure na walang hangin"
Angel Locsin sure has a lot of knowledge about volunteering and relief packing. She's been volunteering to help pack relief goods with Philippine Red Cross. She also has led her own relief packing activities just like recently when she donated more than 3000 food packs and 1760 Hygiene kits to the victims of Taal Volcano eruption.
