Marikina Shoe Trade Fair is a platform that showcases the locally made shoes and leather goods in Marikina. It is part of the guided tour in Marikina "we want the experience of buying the shoes, be unique and meaningful to one" says Mayor Marcy Teodoro. Small and Medium manufacturer in Marikina can utilize a space in the trade fair for free for a chance to widen their market and sell their products to tourists.


But in this day and age where everyone is migrating to digital and with the pandemic that we are still facing right now, marketing your business online is the way to go. According to Mr. Neil Nepomuceno, Head of Trade Fair Cooperative, they lack support when it comes to online marketing. Having said that, team Iba Yan came to the rescue and created an online marketing campaign "Wear Lokal. Wear Marikina"




Angel Locsin shared their plans to help Marikina Shoe Trade Fair boost their digital presence "Dahil gusto po namin tulungan, suportahan, i-promote pa ang shoe industry ng Marikina, gusto po namin iencourage lalo na ang mga kabataan, mga kababayan natin to buy, support local goods, to buy Marikina goods, meron po kaming surpresa sa inyo."


They created a Facebook page where people can buy locally made shoes directly to the manufacturers. In collaboration with some Kapamilya stars and social media influencers, their products will be promoted using their platform and let the digital world know how great Marikina made shoes are.


Some stars and social media influencers who offered their help of promoting Marikina Shoe Trade Fair are the EX-PBB housemates, Starhunt artists, Raymart, Rowell, and Randy Santiago, Richard Juan, Nichole Anderson, Raymond Gutierrez, Kaori Oinuma, Karina Bautista, Vivoree Esclito, Edward Barber, Maymay Entrata, Bianca Gonzalez and Angel Locsin to name a few. With an estimated combined facebook likes and followers of 22 million and 35 million on Instagram, their help will definitely make gawang Marikina be known in the digital world.
