Angel Locsin joins fellow Kapamilyas at the “Caravan para sa Prangkisa” for ABS-CBN franchise renewal.






May 5, a cease and desist order was issued againts ABS-CBN because of its expired franchise. The network immediately complied with the order and goes off the air since. People, especially the employees and artists of the network have been long calling for the Congress to tackle the franchise renewal which finally happened last May 13.


Almost every week, ABS-CBN bosses face the congress for their plea of granting the network a franchise. It took them 12 hearings clearing all the allegations and proving that they are worthy of such. It has been a tough fight for the network and on July 10, their fate has been decided, they have been denied of the franchise with 70-11 votes in favor of the opposition.


ABS-CBN employees, their supporters and artists fought for the network until the last day. On the votation day, they gathered together for a caravan from ABS-CBN compound to the House of Representatives. They are doing this with the hopes of being heard.




Angel Locsin who has been very vocal of her support to her home network for more than a decade did not fail her colleagues who are counting on her. She showed up at the caravan with a plea “Give us a chance to be better” written on her banner.


It has surely been a long and tiring journey for ABS-CBN, its bosses and employees. They in fact set a record for having the most number of franchise hearings to date. They were able to clear all the alleged violations thrown at them but in the end, 70 representatives chose not to side with the network and its 11,000 employees.


It sure is a big set back for the people who have been relying to the network and we bleed with them, we are hoping that one day, we’ll see our favorite Kapamilya network on free TV over again.

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
