Real-life Darna Angel Locsin may bagong misyon!




Dubbed as real-life Darna, Angel Locsin is off to fullfill a new mission through her new show 'Iba 'Yan' starting June 14 on Kapamilya Channel. The actress philanthropist is about to host a public service program which will feature true stories of our modern-day heroes whose stories of benevolence are worth sharing to a wider audience.


On TV Patrol's special report on 'Iba 'Yan', MJ Felipe had an exclusive interview with Angel Locsin. The actress talked about her incoming project and what its all about "Kakaiba ang proyektong ito, ito po ay proyekto na binuo po ng pagmamahal at punong-puno ng malasakit sa kapwa na I think ito 'yung kailangan natin sa mga panahon ngayon. 'Yung makarinig ka ng inspiring na kwento mula sa ibaibang tao, mga tao na kahit walang wala sila, nakuha pa rin nilang tumulong sa kapwa nila" 




'Iba 'Yan' will not just tell the stories of inspiring people, they will also do their part and fulfill a mission by helping others on their own little way as revealed by Angel Locsin. "Itong proyekto nating ito, hindi lang tayo natatapos sa kwentuhan lang, tayo'y kikilos, meron ditong kaakibat na aksyon. Sa bawat mission po natin ay meron po tayong munting tulong na ibibigay sa taong ito para mas makatulong pa po sila sa mga tinutulungan nila sa aming munting paraan" she said.


Hosting a docu-reality show is a first for Angel Locsin. Given the concept of 'Iba 'Yan' and its goals or what its aiming to give to the viewers, it is without a doubt that she is the best person to tell the stories of our unsung heroes because she herself, is a real-life hero who never gets tired to help those who are in need.

Mayor Isko to Angel Locsin, “Mabasa ka sana ng ulan para dumami ka pa.”

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans. On her Instagram post, the actress expressed her gratitude to more than 100 volunteers who helped them repack food packs and hygiene kits.
