JUST IN: ‘Shop and Share’ provides 600 Covid-19 test kits for some of our stranded kababayans!




It was on June 2 when Angel Locsin and Anne Curtis officially relaunched their decade old  “Shop and Share” project to help the government in extending more COVID-19 tests to underprivileged Filipinos who need to be tested during this global crisis. The initiative started in 2009 to help the families affected by Typhoon Ondoy.


Many celebrities and big personalities supported the campaign by donating their personal items from designer bags, jewelry, and clothes, among others. Some of them even sold their pre-loved items themselves to make it less effort for the Shop and Share team, pledging all the proceeds to the project. And because of the overwhelming support Angel and Anne received, not even a full 24 hours since its opening, Shop and Share has raised over P700,000 from the sold products.


Two weeks after its launch, ‘Shop and Share’ announced that they have officially begun and thanked those who have supported the fundraiser. On their official social media accounts, they wrote:




“We’ve officially begun! Because of your overwhelming support we were able to provide 600 Covid-19 test kits for some of our stranded kababayans that reached out to us. This is just the beginning and we promise to do our best to share the donations you have made to our kababayans that need it the most. Maraming maraming salamat po for supporting this cause. Stay tuned for more updates as we wrap up our online store Shop and Share in the next few weeks! #ShopAndShare2020”


Since the coronavirus outbreak, the world urged self-isolation in order to help flatten the curve and reduce transmission. The Philippine government placed the country on lockdown on March 17 and was gradually lifted to a less stricter preventive quarantine, Metro Manila being the last to transition to general community quarantine effective June 1.


Ever since, many celebrities are stepping up to help in their own ways and Angel Locsin is definitely one of the most admirable, who finds all the means to lend a hand to those who need help the most.

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
