Anne Curtis, Bea Alonzo and Dimples Romana reveal that relaunching Shop and Share was Angel Locsin’s idea.





Shop and Share 2020 officially went live on Monday, June 1, 2020. Their website www.shopandshare.store is now officially up and running. On an exclusive interview with MJ Felipe, celebrity organizers: Angel Locsin, Anne Curtis, Bea Alonzo and Dimples Romana shared how the idea of Shop and Share started.


According to Angel Locsin, Shop and Share is a collaboration of artists from various networks. Shop and Share was initially launched way back 2009 and with the current problems that the country is facing due to the global pandemic, they’ve decided to visit the idea of relaunching the cause. “It’s a collaboration ng nga artists both networks. Ang Shop and Share kasi nasimulan namin before ni Anne nung Ondoy days pa tapos naisipan namin na simulan ulit” Locsin said. “Nakakatuwa kasi ramdam na ramdam namin ‘yung pagkakaisa ng mga artista na gusto ring tumulong sa mga taong sumuporta rin samin kaya kami nandito sa posisyon namin ngayon” she added.




As per Anne Curtis, when asked whose idea was this, the actress revealed that it was Angel Locsin who called her and pitched the idea. “It was Angel who called me in 2009 and asked if I would like to put up something like this, back then it was like an auction. And then this year, she called me again and said “Mars gusto mo buhayin ulit natin ‘yung Shop and Share?” Curtis agreed to the idea and a week later they have a shop that’s ready to launch.


Bea Alonzo whose new to the team revealed that it was Angel Locsin who get in touch with her. “Just like with Anne, Angel din got in touch with me and then she asked me kung gusto ko bang gumawa ng isang drive with her to raise money for people. Initially hindi pa sya Shop and Share and then it turned out to be Shop and Share which is even better kasi it’s for a better cause” says Bea Alonzo.


Dimples Romana who has been friends with Angel Locsin shared that it was Locsin’s initiative. “Eversince maging magkaibigan kami nyan lagi nya akong dinadala sa iba’t-ibang lugar. Either magrerepack kami, which we have done na before. It was Angel’s initiative. It just grew into something that was so beautiful because all the artist wanted to donate.”

Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
