Angel Locsin “tuwang tuwa maglinis ng tambakol”!

On the episode of Angel Locsin’s show Iba Yan, we witnessed heartwarming stories of hardworking fathers in Mauban, Quezon who despite the hardships amid crisis continue to be the source of strength and best provider for their families.

Iba Yan put the spotlight on Tatay Pablito, Cris, and Tatay Ferdie who have shown us inspiring characters and strong Filipino values of “katatagan at pagmamahal sa pamilya.”

Angel visited the town of Mauban herself to better understand their struggles along with hundreds of Mauban fishermen whose livelihood got severely impacted by the Typhoon Ambo and the CoVid-19 pandemic. She immersed with a family near the coastal area of the town, went fishing and shared a meal with them that she prepared herself!

Apart from admiring the strength and spirit of the typhoon stricken Maubanins, netizens also marvelled at how Angel tried to do the things that we don’t get to see everyday, certainly not from a huge celebrity like her.

On Twitter, a netizen with the handle @jremly15 was so delighted and shared a video clip of the Iba Yan host cleaning a huge tambakol (yellow fin). On the tweet, she said, “Tuwang tuwa maglinis ng tambakol. Such a cutie. Ang laki nung yellow fin whoa ! #IbaYan @143redangel @ibaYanPH.”

It’s just one of the things Angel did during her immersion that she seemed to have fun doing but most importantly helped her relate to the situation of the fishermen and their families in Mauban.

And as she lived a day in the life of Tatay Pablito, Cris and Tatay Ferdie, we came to realize once again that we, Filipinos, are a resilient nation who knows how to weather the perfect storm.

Angel Locsin and team Iba ‘Yan provided help to ease their struggles, from reconnecting them with their loved ones whom they’ve been away from because of CoVid-19 outbreak to gifting them with a motorcycle, fishing boat and packed goods!
