Angel Locsin shares why she said yes on hosting ‘Iba ‘Yan’!




We have seen Angel Locsin ace her characters in an action-fantasy themed teleserye, make the viewers cry with a full-on dramatic series and movies and make our jaw drop because of her action stunts through an action drama series. We have been accustomed seeing her on our TV screens acting out scenes and with her new project ‘Iba ‘Yan’, we are seeing Angel Locsin on a different angle.


Hosting is not Angel Locsin’s forte and hosting a public service program is something new for her. On the recent virtual media conference with Angel Locsin attended by a number of press people, Angel was asked what made her say yes to do this project.




“Sa totoo lang may pagkaintrovert po talaga ako, yung mga nagsasalitang part parang paartehin nyo na lang ako, patalunin nyo ako ng building, ipahabol sa aso, ‘yan mas magagawa ko.” she said.

Angel Locsin then explained why she decided to accept the project. “Yung hosting, isa ‘yan sa mga natatakot akong gawin. Pero nung nilatag po nila sa akin itong show and ito kasi ‘yung kailangan natin sa panahon ngayon e. Yung show na makakadagdag ng inspirasyon. Sa dami kasing problema na nangyayari ngayon sa Pilipinas marami akong nababasa, nakakahiya maging Pilipino. Isa sa mga objectives ng show na ‘to bukod sa makapagbigay ngiti at inspirasyon sa tao is ‘yung mabalik ‘yung pagiging proud natin (bilang Pilipino). Isa ‘yun sa mga nagpapayag po sa akin.”

The actress also revealed that she should be on hiatus because of her upcoming wedding “Honestly dapat pahinga ho talaga ako ngayon, pahinga ako nag-aayos ng kasal pero lahat naman tayo naka pause ngayon diba.”

“In a way ito rin yung gusto nating ipang reach-out sa mga tao. Ito ‘yung pagbibigay natin ng serbisyo sa tao sa ating munting paraan” she added.

Iba ‘Yan is Angel Locsin’s first official hosting gig and she is doing a great job! They just aired their very promising pilot episode last Sunday and for those who missed it, you can still watch it on demand on Iwant and on TFC.

Mayor Isko to Angel Locsin, “Mabasa ka sana ng ulan para dumami ka pa.”

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
