Angel Locsin, Kim Chiu, Angelica Panganiban are among the Kapamilya stars extending help during the pandemic




At this time of crisis, it's not about how much you give that matters most, what truly counts is the desire to be of help in any way you can. Any and all forms of help are welcome and it’s heartwarming to see that a lot of Pinoy celebrities step up and aid the novel coronavirus relief efforts proving that their lives are not just about glitz and glamour. Not only they share their fortune and give back to those in need but also making a positive influence using their voices and platforms to encourage people to be of help too.

On a video blog by G-Diaries on Facebook hosted by Mr. Ernie Lopez, Kapamilya stars like Angel Locsin, Kim Chiu and Angelica Panganiban were featured as some of the inspiring showbiz personalities who have lent a hand during the pandemic.


Angel Locsin hailed as one of Forbes Asia’s Heroes of Philanthropy for her relief efforts during calamities, this time is no different as she spearheaded a project called #UniTENTweStandPH to provide aid to health care workers and CoVid-19 front liners.




She also joined forces with her celebrity friends and relaunched her decade old campaign “Shop and Share” to support the need for mass testing in the country; not to mention the other random charitable works and acts of philanthropy that she does more than what the public is aware of.


Kim Chiu is also non-stop helping out our fellow countrymen in her own little ways - from giving food packs to using her social media platforms to sharing useful and healthy tips to fight the virus.


Meanwhile, Angelica Panganiban is also providing aid to medical front liners by giving them healthy food packages.


ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN Foundation, despite the problems it’s facing right now, also continue to help during the pandemic through its ‘Pantawid ng Pag-ibig’ program that encourage individuals and organizations to donate cash that will be used to buy food packs and other essentials for the less fortunate.

Mayor Isko to Angel Locsin, “Mabasa ka sana ng ulan para dumami ka pa.”

City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
