Angel Locsin gets emotional on a virtual media conference.




Last sunday, June 14, Angel Locsin's new show on Kapamilya Channel premiered. It featured stories of unsung heroes amid the pandemic who did not hesitate to help people in need. Some of the stories featured were that of the viral adorable tiktoker Marco, Fr. Flavie, and Nanay Fe.


Before the show premiered, people of the press had the opportunity to talk to Angel Locsin through a virtual interview. People of the press took the liberty to ask Angel questions about her upcoming show and her efforts amid the pandemic. It was a fun interview however, one question specifically, made Angel Locsin emotional. Ahwel Paz of DZMM Teleradyo asked "Alam po namin na lagi po kayong nagbibigay, kung kayo naman po ang bibigyan sa mga oras na 'to kahit maliit na bagay, 'yung materyal man at hindi materyal, kami naman po ang magbibigay sa inyo ano po 'yung bagay po na  'yun?"


Angel Locsin answered the question in the sincerest manner and said "Ang laki po ng hihilingin ko sa inyo na sana po mapagbigyan nyo po kami, siguro aware naman po kayo sa sitwasyon namin ngayon, ng aming network, kailangan po namin ng push." The actress can't help but get emotional that she has to shortly turn off her camera.

"Kailangan po namin 'yung tulong ninyo para ma-spread sa tao na nandito po kami, patuloy po kaming magbibigay ng serbisyo sa tao." she added.


We have seen how Angel Locsin fight for the network and its employees. They may have found a way to continue to provide service to the people through Kapamilya Channel but their service is only limited to satellite cable and social media platforms that some of the far-flung areas in the country don't have the privilege to access.

Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
