Angel Locsin and ‘Iba Yan’ team repay Nanay Fe twice the price of the bicycle she donated to Tatay Carlos!
On the pilot episode of docu-reality show ‘Iba Yan’ presented by actress philanthropist Angel Locsin, we witnessed an inspiring story of a bike shop owner whose generosity stirs the hearts of many Filipinos.
A video of the bike seller Nanay Fe Carandang, 70, recently went viral after she gifted an elderly street vendor Tatay Carlos a mountain bike.
On the video, Carlos Samonte, 82, was asking if he could buy the mountain bike which originally costs P4,800 for only P2,000. Nanay Fe agreed on letting him have the bike after finding out that the elderly man has been passing by the store everyday since May 15, asking if they have an available bike. She also returned the the two thousand bills that Tatay Carlos handed her.
This story tugged the hearts of Angel and the whole ‘Iba Yan’ team and offered to repay her twice the price of the bike which she donated as a ‘thank you’ for her kindness.
According to Nanay Fe’s daughter, their mother is naturally generous. Growing up, she would always see her helping anyone in need that inspires them to help others too, she said.
Nanay Fe started with a hand-made rug business, raised her children well on her own after his husband’s passing and now her children are helping her in managing the bike shop they put up from her retirement since last year. They all decided to give the bike to Tatay Carlos for free whom was totally overjoyed for the gift he never expected. Maraming maraming salamat sa inyo, Nay,” he said.
“Iba Yan” premiered on the Kapamilya Channel last Sunday and it raked positive reviews ruling Twitterverse on its debut. Don’t miss the next week’s episode!
