"Pag lockdown pa, hindi naman namin puwede i-risk" -- Angel Locsin on the possible movement of her wedding to a later date because of coronavirus disease.
On June 2019, Angel Locsin got engaged to her boyfriend now fiance Neil Arce. Everyone's delighted with the news and have been looking forward to the big day. Since then, the couple have been very busy on their wedding preparations that Angel opted not to renew her contract to ABS-CBN for the time being to focus on the wedding.
It was through an Instagram post on New Year's day that the couple revealed that their wedding is set to happen some time this year but just recently, Angel Locsin revealed that they wouldn't risk holding a wedding amid the pandemic.
The topic was opened up after Richard shared details on his wedding with long time partner Sarah Lahbati. Angel Locsin lauded what the couple did because instead of completely delaying the wedding, the Gutierrez's decided to hold an intimate wedding attended by their family amid the lockdown. Richard then revealed that the grand wedding is still happening once the pandemic eases.
Richard then asked Locsin about her upcoming wedding and the actress said "Alam mo. At alam mo rin na hindi ko puwedeng sabihin dito ngayon. Naka-reserve ka na,"
"Ayaw naming isipin na postponed, di ba, kasi iyon 'yung pinakaimportanteng araw sa amin. Nagpahinga nga kami sa mga trabaho namin sana para matutukan namin 'yung wedding." Locsin added.
"Kaya lang, 'pag lockdown pa, hindi naman namin puwede i-risk, di ba? Hindi namin alam kung ano ang mangyayari," she said.
Though their wedding preparations have been temporarily put on hold, the soon to be wedded couple has nonetheless been busy during the quarantine because of their #UniTENTweStandPH campaign.
They are frequently spotted at various hospitals in the metro and neighboring provinces as they personally deliver isolation tents and personal protective equipment to our frontliners and health workers.
