Ogie Alcasid let go of most toys from his toy collection to donate to Shop and Share spearheaded by Anne Curtis and Angel Locsin!
What is Shop and Share? Shop and Share is a 2009 fundraising campaign spearheaded by Anne Curtis and Angel Locsin. That time, the cause aims to help victims of typhoon Ondoy through an online auction/bidding. Celebrities came together and donated their prized posessions like designer bags and shoes, signed memorabilias and the likes. And with all the adversity that the global pandemic has brought upon the country, Anne Curtis, Angel Locsin and team re-launched Shop and Share to help contribute in the efforts of testing people to help trace, isolate and treat those who will turn out positive of Covid-19.
On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin calls for support to her industry friends and on his Instagram account, the singer-songwriter Mr. Ogie Alcasid shared a photo of some of his toy collections that he’ll be donating to the cause.
On his caption he wrote “Been collecting these for over 24 years. Time to let go of most toys so someone else may take care of them and at the same time people will be tested for Covid. Just helping an angel with her advocacy. Go @therealangellocsin”
Mr. Ogie Alcasid released a full vlog entry on his Youtube channel about these toys entitled “My Toy Collection” where he talked about how he got them and how vintage some of it was.
These toys will be up for grabs together with other items from other celebrities once they officially start Shop and Share so you better watch out! Follow Shop and Share on social media for updates.
