Like mother, like daughter.

A day before Mother’s day, Kapuso actress Marian Rivera took to Instagram two very adorable photos of her daughter Zia dressed up as none other than her previous character on TV, Darna.


On the caption she wrote:

“May pa early Mother’s day pakulo itong si Ate Zia! 😅 Familiar ba ang mga look?

Sa dinami-dami ng roles na ginampanan ko, ang pagiging mommy ang pinakamasarap. Kaya susuportahan lang kita ‘nak as you discover your interests...”




It drew so much attention from netizens who couldn’t get enough of Zia’s cuteness and innate cam-ready charisma. The post has now almost a million likes and over 10,000 comments mostly about how Zia can pass as the next or the future Darna. Angel Locsin, who also played the character of Filipina Comic Super-heroine in 2005, concurred with the idea saying, “Mukhang may susunod na Darna ah!❤️”


On another comment she also said, “true... aprub 100%” agreeing to a netizen who said that Zia did it better than the Marian and Angel version.


Zia is undoubtedly a star in the making. Who knows? Maybe she will really follow her mom’s footsteps and be the next Darna. It’s Marian Rivera and Angel Locsin approved anyway.

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
