Janus del Prado attests to Angel Locsin’s generosity; looks back to when the actress paid for his hospital bills.





Apart from her most talked about efforts amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Angel Locsin has been on the spotlight lately for being vocal about her stand on certain matters like ABS-CBN franchise issue and Covid-19 related topics like mass testing.


She has been red-tagged by her detractors and harsh words were thrown at her just because she has opposing opinions. Some people were even saying that her relief efforts were just for a show. With all these bashing happening around the actress, her friend Janus del Prado came to her defense and attests to the actress’ generosity and her genuine intention in helping others saying that not everything that the actress has done to help others were picked-up by media.




“@therealangellocsin Sa mga bumatikos sayo at gusto kang tapusin, paps. Wag mo na lang sila pansinin. Kilala ka naman ng mga taong malalapit sayo at yung pagtingin namin sayo ang importante. Sabi ng mga trolls at bashers, pakitangtao ka lang daw. Pero di nila alam na madami ka natutulungan na di nababalita.”

He then shared a story when Locsin paid for his hospitals bills way back 2014 “Gaya ko paps. Naalala ko dati nung nagka tigdas ako way back 2014, ikaw lang sa mga kakilala ko sa industria ang nag offer ng tulong at malasakit. Sinagot mo na nga hospital bill ko, nagpupumilit ka pa dumalaw kahit bawal kasi naka quarantine ako sa hospital. Hehe. Baliw ka talaga.”


He also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the actress for the friendship and her genuine concern “Salamat sa malasakit at sa pagkakaibigan. City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
