Darna to the rescue! Angel Locsin responds to victims of Typhoon Ambo in Samar!




Amidst the chaos brought about by the novel coronavirus disease, we are faced yet again with another adversity as Typhoon “Ambo” (international name: “Vongfong”) has made landfall in Eastern Samar, shortly after Thursday noon, cut off power supply and damaged hundreds of homes, livelihood and public structures including coronavirus isolation facilities.


Videos and pictures of the devastation circulate online and distraught residents said that “Ambo” has dumped heavy rains and torn off roofs like a “Yolanda Jr” in terms of damage to infrastructure.


Famous Tiktoker and Vlogger Ericka Camata, popularly known as Ms. Everything, took to Twitter photos of their devastated homes where the typhoon slammed ashore updating her followers that they’re safe.




Unsurprisingly, Angel Locsin responded to the tweet and asked where she is exactly. The actress was patrolling Twitter for updates and necessary information about the typhoon stricken areas and offers help like what she consistently does every time the country is in crisis.


Nearly after providing aid to healthcare workers and other front liners in their fights against COVID-19 and while mourning her pet dog’s passing, Darna is back responding to typhoon victims!


She also continuously assists those affected by the pandemic and channels them to the right institution who can immediately sends help.

The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
