Angel Locsin saddened over ABS-CBN closure, airs concerns for 11,000 employees who lost their jobs
Angel Locsin airs concern for 11,000 employees who lost jobs due to ABS-CBN shutdown. The actress noted how hard it must be looking for sources of livelihood due to the COVID-19 pandemic and hoping that the decision be reconsidered as it was made at the worst possible time.
She was among the other personalities who spoke up against the cease and desist order to Kapamilya Network issued by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) on May 5. Despite not renewing her contract with the media company, Locsin sympathized with the 11,000 people who lost their jobs as a consequence of the shutdown. She vented them out on a series of Instagram and Twitter posts which drew mixed reactions from netizens but the actress’ stance on the issue stands firm.

Meanwhile, Locsin’s fiance, film producer Neil Arce, revealed that the actress could not help but shed tears after ABS-CBN signed off, according to his Instagram post.
It was a heartbreaking moment as the network has been her home for the longest time and the people working with the company have become her second family. There may be different interpretations on how the celebrities like Angel react on the situation, it was rather understandable that they only want to sympathize with the livelihood of the ABS-CBN employees most especially in this already difficult time.
