Angel Locsin expressed awe at a mural of Darna as a front-liner!




Philanthropic actress Angel Locsin praised the mural painting of “Darna” dressed as a health care worker on a building in Maginhawa, Diliman Quezon City.


It was an obra maestra by an artist named AG Saño who decided to feature the Pinay superheroine ‘Darna’ in green scrubs and face mask with a stethoscope around her neck.




Perci Cendana, a former commissioner at the National Youth Commission uploaded a photo of the said artwork on Facebook on Sunday, May 17 which immediately caught the attention of Angel Locsin.


On Instagram, she also shared pictures of the artist, AG Saño, who can be seen in action harnessed to a cable line, as he paints on the side of a building. On the caption, she wrote:

“Hero in disguise.

The artwork aims to pay tribute to the healthcare workers in the COVID-19 frontlines.

Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans.
