Angel Locsin donates her car for a cause! Will be up for grabs soon on Shop&Share!




Way back 2013, Angel Locsin donated her luxury car to Sagip Kapamilya. Her Chevrolet chevelle was auctioned to help building classrooms in areas badly affected by typhoon Yolanda. And with the global pandemic that our country is battling right now, Angel Locsin did it again and donated her 2015 Dodge Durango for another note worthy cause, the Shop and Share.


Shop and Share was first launched way back 2009 to raise funds for the victims of typhoon Ondoy. After almost 11 years, Angel Locsin, Anne Curtis and the entire team decided to relaunch the campaign with the hopes of aiding the government in increasing testing for Covid-19. It is dedicated to help our fellow Filipinos who need to be tested during the pandemic. They aim to cover the expense for testing kits to the underprivileged who are affected by the global crisis through the funds that will be raised.




The team has began collecting items from celebrities who willingly donated their valued items to the cause. As what we previously reported, Mr. Ogie Alcasid donated some of his toy collections, Angel Locsin as mentioned above donated her 2015 Dodge Durango and Anne Curtis donated her Chanel Cruise Boy North South Handbag. City of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno was filled with so much gratitude as he thanked those people for their outpouring support to the city of Manila via donations and to those who have provided assistance including the philanthropic actress Angel Locsin and her fiancé Neil Arce. The couple and their team who are behind the #UniTentWeStandPH campaign have donated 12x24 isolation tents to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center that would be used for persons under investigation and COVID-19 patients. The said campaign aims to help address overcrowding amid the surge of cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) by providing additional room at hospitals operating at full capacity due to the pandemic. 22 hospitals have already received isolation tents and Angel is set to provide tents to 38 more in the coming days. Angel Locsin’s stance on ABS-CBN Closure: “Hindi ako uupo at mananahimik”

Earlier this afternoon, National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) orders ABS-CBN to halt its broadcast operations following the expiration of its franchise. This means that more than 11,000 employees of ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries will lose their source of income and it was rather heartbreaking as this shutdown of the Philippines’ biggest broadcast network comes at worst possible time amid pandemic. Darna to the rescue! A closer look to the sleeping tents for our health workers provided by Angel Locsin, Neil Arce and team!

On her Instagram account, Angel Locsin with her fiance Neil Arce and their team launched a "Donate a Bed" project. They aim to source out spare beds from their industry friends which will be used in the sleeping tents for health workers that they are going to set-up. A day after they collected the beds, the team began setting up the sleeping tents and after two days of hard work, they are able to turn-over the fully furnished sleeping tents to Taguig's local government unit. If you are wondering how the sleeping tents look like from the inside or how the security and sanitation on the area works, Niña Aquino, one of the volunteers who helped setting up the tents gave some details about that matter on her Facebook account. According to Aquino, there are receptionist with complete PPE to facilitate registration. There are also security guards roving 24 hours to ensure safety and tents will be disinfected and and will be cleaned regularly.

After visiting evacuation centers in Batangas, Angel Locsin made an accounting and lists down donated goods to Taal Volcano eruption victims. Known for her humanitarian efforts, the actress thanked everyone who helped her for this initiative which includes her family, friends in the industry and fans. On her Instagram post, the actress expressed her gratitude to more than 100 volunteers who helped them repack food packs and hygiene kits.
